Mobile clearing work comes in two flavors, and they barely look alike. West of the city the county opens up into pine acreage off Schillinger, Cottage Hill, and Dawes, where subdivisions and single homesites keep pushing into the woods. In town it's the opposite: an overgrown infill lot in Midtown, a lot behind a torn-down house, a tangle of hackberry and privet that swallowed a corner. Land clearing covers both.
EMCO Builders clears ground across Mobile County, from a full cutover on west-county acreage to a single choked lot inside the city. We drop and haul the trees, grub the stumps so the lot stays clear, and pair it with demolition when there's an old house or slab that has to come off first. The growth corridor west of Mobile is pine woods turning into rooftops, and most of those lots start as a cutover. We clear the trees and the underbrush, grub out the stumps and root balls, and haul the debris off so nothing's left to settle or push back up under a slab. Whether it's one homesite or a whole subdivision block, the lot leaves clean and ready to grade.
A lot of west-county ground carries big water oaks and pines the owner wants to keep some of. We clear selectively where that's the goal, working around the trees that stay and mulching the underbrush instead of hauling it. Then we shape the pad so the house sits right and the water runs off, all in one pass.
Inside Mobile the job's usually smaller and tighter. An empty lot in Midtown or off Dauphin Island Parkway has grown up in brush and volunteer trees for years, and getting equipment in and debris out means working around neighbors, fences, and power lines. We clear these lots clean and haul it, without tearing up the yard next door doing it.
When a lot has a derelict house or an old foundation on it, clearing and demolition go together. We take the structure down, pull the slab and the footings, clear the vegetation, and haul all of it off so you're left with a clean buildable lot. The City of Mobile permits the demolition and the land disturbance, and we handle that as part of the work.
