Foley's been building as fast as any town in Baldwin County. The commercial run up Highway 59 past Tanger and OWA keeps stretching, and the old farm ground out toward Beulah and Bon Secour keeps turning into subdivisions. Most of it sits on flat pine flatwoods with a water table close to the surface, which means site prep here is a drainage problem before it's anything else.
EMCO Builders builds sites in Foley for both sides of that boom, the commercial pads along the corridor and the residential lots filling in behind them. We clear the ground, cut and fill it to grade, haul in select fill where the dirt sits too low and too wet, and shape the site so water leaves it instead of standing on it. Licensed Alabama home builder #13967, more than 30 years in South Alabama, and a real person at (251) 747-7839.

Foley's flatwoods don't shed water on their own. A pad built without thought sits in a bathtub the first wet week, so we build them up: strip the organic topsoil that won't compact, bring in select fill, and lift the pad above the surrounding grade so the slab or the building has somewhere dry to sit. Compacted in lifts, not dumped and hoped.
Where the ground's too flat to drain, we cut the swales and build the detention the county wants to see. Baldwin County has gotten stricter about stormwater as Foley has filled in, and a site that doesn't handle its own runoff doesn't get signed off. We dig the ponds and the drainage as part of the pad so the whole thing works as one.
The commercial work along 59 and McKenzie runs on a schedule, and a pad that's late holds up everybody behind it. We clear, grade, and stone the building pad and the parking, set the storm structures, and hand a laydown-ready site to the concrete and steel crews. Straight grades, right elevations, no surprises when the surveyor checks it.
On the residential side we take raw farm and timber ground and turn it into lots. That's the clearing, the road subgrade, the drainage, and the access driveways so trucks can work the site. Foley grew on ground like this, and we've been shaping it the whole time.
